The 2nd “Russia and the World: Healthy Longevity Trends” Forum officially opened today at the World Trade Center in Moscow. The Forum is organised jointly by the Executive Office of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Roscongress Foundation, with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Russian Scientific Center for Surgery named after Academician B.V. Petrovsky serving as organizational partners.
The Forum’s official opening ceremony was attended by
Tatyana Golikova, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation;
Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation;
Alexander Stuglev, CEO of the Roscongress Foundation; and
Vladimir Mashkov, People’s Artist of Russia, Chairman of the Russian Theatre Union, and Artistic Director of both the Oleg Tabakov Moscow Theatre and the Moscow Sovremennik Theatre.
“The ‘Russia and the World: Healthy Longevity Trends’ Forum serves as an interdisciplinary platform dedicated to architecting a modern model for healthy longevity,” noted Tatyana Golikova, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. “Today, health is recognized not merely as a byproduct of medical breakthroughs, but as the result of a holistic convergence between science, education, culture, sports, social policy, economics, and regional development. This is precisely why our focus extends far beyond advanced medical technologies and scientific research; we are equally committed to cultivating healthy environments, fostering a widespread culture of wellness, promoting physical activity, and leveraging art as a powerful catalyst for cognitive and emotional health. This integrated approach allows us to treat healthy longevity as a core strategic objective — one that unifies the efforts of the state, the expert community, businesses, and civil society to measurably elevate the quality and duration of active human life.”The Forum’s business programme includes over 20 expert discussions across six thematic tracks: “Public Health and Innovation,” “The Mechanisms of Aging and the Possibility of Managing Biological Age,” “Arts and Culture: Integration with Medicine,” “Regions of Russia,” “Effective Promotion,” and “Nutrition and Biologically Active Dietary Supplements.” The plenary session, titled “Russia and the World: Healthy Longevity Trends. Goal, Strategy, Tactics,” will take place on the second day of the Forum.
“For the second consecutive year, the ‘Russia and the World: Healthy Longevity Trends’ Forum has solidified its place as a premier platform for addressing both immediate challenges and a vision for the future,” emphasized Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation. “Until recently, longevity was primarily equated with simply increasing life expectancy. Today, however, the focus has fundamentally shifted toward sustaining health, vitality, and professional and social relevance at every stage of life. It is for this reason that the Forum prioritizes proactive prevention, biological age management, the deployment of advanced technologies, the expansion of regional practices, the advancement of healthy lifestyles, and the cultivation of a widespread culture of health preservation. This broad perspective enables us to design a long-term strategy where public health is recognized as the ultimate cornerstone of the nation’s sustainable development.” emphasized Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation
Anton Kobyakov.
On the opening day, Forum participants can look forward to a performance of the play “Like-minded People” by the Sovremennik Theatre, followed by a symphony concert by the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra on day two.
The Forum will also feature an awards ceremony honouring the winners of a competition among non-profit organizations, associations, bloggers, and media outlets for their work in promoting healthy longevity medicine and collaborating with regional executive bodies. The competition was jointly launched by the Government of the Russian Federation and the Roscongress Foundation, inviting non-profit organizations, bloggers, and media outlets focused on promoting healthy longevity medicine and the Regional Movement for Healthy Longevity Medicine.
On the sidelines of the Forum, an exhibition space will showcase the Centre for Healthy Longevity Medicine’s core operational model, alongside the findings from a groundbreaking comprehensive study on regional obesity risk factors and healthy longevity indicators. Visitors can also explore innovative technologies and advanced developments shaping the future of longevity.
