The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), held from 3 to 6 June 2026, hosted a premier annual event in the healthcare sector: the Healthy Life Area. This dedicated space was organized by the Roscongress Foundation’s Healthy Life ecosystem.
Far from being a conventional discussion platform, the Healthy Life ecosystem functions as a comprehensive vehicle for sector-wide transformation. It integrates strategic analysis, communications, innovation support, and international partnership networks to build a future where public health is recognized as the ultimate capital and a core driver of societal development. At SPIEF 2026, the Healthy Life Area business programme featured 18 specialized sessions, bringing together over 130 leading domestic experts.
“Over the years, the Healthy Life space has solidified its position as a premier platform for professional dialogue on the future of healthcare,” noted Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko. “In 2026, its business programme encompassed a full spectrum of critical priorities — spanning human capital development, proactive prevention, demographic policy, technological leadership, and healthcare economics. This comprehensive framework reflects a shared understanding that public health is not merely a vital social value, but a strategic cornerstone for national development. It is exceptionally important that this space unites leaders from government agencies, the medical and scientific communities, businesses, and non-profit organizations to design practical solutions for the sector’s most pressing challenges. The innovative domestic advancements showcased at the exhibition convincingly demonstrate the immense potential of Russian medical science and manufacturing. I am confident that the outcomes of these discussions and our newly forged partnerships will make a profound contribution to achieving our national objectives, elevating the quality of life, and building a modern healthcare system.”
The Healthy Life exhibition featured a consolidated showcase of cutting-edge domestic innovations, highlighting the country’s strides toward technological sovereignty. Leading scientific and medical organizations presented pioneering solutions, many of which are entirely unique to the market.
Notably, the Russian Ministry of Health organized a joint pavilion highlighting advanced domestic breakthroughs in medical devices and pharmaceuticals. The entire exhibition underscored the strategic importance of domestic research and manufacturing in reinforcing technological independence and expanding public access to modern clinical solutions. Additionally, the Logika Moloka company demonstrated how the dairy industry leverages scientifically validated technologies to foster a culture of healthy nutrition and improve public health metrics. The Federal Medical-Biological Agency of Russia (FMBA), the Skolkovo Foundation, the Sechenov University, the Russian University of Medicine, the Atlas Clinic Network, and RNA Technologies were among the prominent institutions presenting their latest advancements. For the first time, the Regional Movement for Healthy Longevity Medicine — a federal initiative aimed at developing a preventative medicine framework and a new culture of health preservation in Russia — was presented at the Forum. Guests and participants were invited to complete a specialized survey to evaluate their personal longevity management strategies and receive actionable recommendations for mitigating underlying health risks.
In the presence of distinguished guests — Andrei Fursenko, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Russian Science Foundation, and Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health of the Russian Federation — a cooperation agreement was signed between the Russian Science Foundation and the Scientific Centre for Expert Evaluation of Medicinal Products. Additionally, a tripartite cooperation agreement was signed by the Logika Moloka company, the Federal Research Centre “Fundamentals of Biotechnology” of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Technological Platform BioTech2030. In total, 17 cooperation agreements were executed within the Healthy Life Area throughout the event.
The Healthy Life ecosystem serves as a primary vehicle for showcasing the breakthroughs of Russian medicine both domestically and internationally. It functions as an authoritative hub for consolidating thought leaders, bridging senior representatives of the Russian Government, heads of federal ministries and regulatory agencies, rectors of leading universities, directors of research institutes, and executives from major corporations.
“One of the defining milestones of our work this year was the intense focus on health promotion as a vital prerequisite for elevating quality of life and fostering sustainable societal development,” notedAnastasia Stolkova, First Deputy Director for Development at the Roscongress Foundation and member of the Civic Chamber’s Healthcare Commission. “Today, simply advancing clinical technologies is no longer enough; we must actively cultivate a culture of proactive personal wellness, establish the necessary frameworks for healthy longevity, support families, and scale field-tested health practices nationwide. The Healthy Life Area enables us to navigate these critical issues across multiple tiers — ranging from high-level strategic decisions involving industry executives and regulatory agencies, to open dialogue with prominent thought leaders and the media community. This approach not only shapes the professional agenda but also drives widespread public awareness of modern medical breakthroughs, disease prevention strategies, and healthy lifestyle choices.
